While teaching a mathematics class at Columbia University, a student had fallen asleep and woke up when his classmates were talking.

When the lesson ended, the teacher noticed that he had written two problems on the whiteboard; the student, having woken up, assumed that these were homework assignments and copied them into his notebook so that he could come back the next day.

He found the problems very difficult when he first tried them;
Despite the challenge, he persevered, spending hours in the library, collecting references and studying until he was able to solve one of the problems.

The next day, the teacher moved on to the next lesson topic without raising any unanswered questions that had been written on the board the previous day.

So, the student who woke up yesterday was curious, so when he was allowed to raise his hand, he said, “Doctor, why didn’t you ask me about the question you wrote on the board yesterday?”

The teacher said, “Is it necessary? It wasn’t mandatory; they brought it up as an example of what science and scientists have been calling unsolved mathematical problems; I didn’t bring it up because we shouldn’t waste time on unanswered questions.”

The student was shocked and said, “Doctor, I solved one of them in four papers!”

The student’s solution was eventually recognized and registered at Columbia University; four papers he wrote on the subject are still on display at the institution.

The key reason the student was able to solve the problem was that he didn’t listen to the teacher saying, ” No one has found a solution yet .” Instead, he believed that the problem was worth solving and finally succeeded.

I think it’s better to end up with the results we’ve achieved ourselves, rather than listening to those who tell us that we can’t achieve something.

Some people deliberately plant the seeds of failure and disappointment.

You have the power to achieve your goals, overcome the obstacles in front of you, and fulfill your desires ! Let’s try to simply trust in the Creator.
