Even if you can save a little money today, you won’t be a millionaire right away. If you go to the gym for three days in a row, you won’t see any change in your body shape. If you study French for three hours tonight, you won’t become a native speaker. We try to make small changes. But since we can’t see the results of the changes right away, we go back to what we were doing before.
The bad thing is that this slow pace of change makes us more likely to develop bad habits. If you spend the evening working on your family, they will help you. If you put off finishing your work until tomorrow, the time for this will not be lost on “tomorrow.”
In this way, it is not that difficult to make a decision.
If we continue to make our problems 1% worse every day, repeating bad decisions, making small mistakes, and making small excuses, the cumulative effect will be much worse.
Often, the things that cause us great problems in our lives are the cumulative results of our actions here and there, exacerbating our problems by 1%.
