The controversial philosophy of Machiavelli

” It is better to appear good than to be good .”

The Italian writer and philosopher Niccolo Machiavelli developed a political theory that encourages any leader to take any action necessary to establish a strong system of government.

Whether the action is balanced or distorted, whether the approach is fair or unfair, a leader should not be concerned about the approach as long as he achieves his goal.

The quality of the process will be justified by the success of the goal; even if the goal is personal gain or authoritarianism, success will be the measure of the scale.

In Machiavelli’s words, “In the absence of a court of appeal, life is judged by the results of the actions of any person, especially the nobles.”

Therefore, the prince can only control and maintain his kingdom well. In this case, all the means he uses will be respected and praised from beginning to end.

The Tertaw community is always proud of its success and achievements; what deserves attention is the majority and the Tertaw.

“As long as the majority is embraced by the state, there will be no room for the minority.”

According to Machiavelli, there are two types of government in human history: either monarchies, ruled by the elite, or republican systems, ruled by the people.

Of the two systems of government, a republic or a democratic government composed of the people is far better, but a republic cannot flourish without the integrity of its citizens; since the majority, contrary to integrity, is a completely immoral and deceitful people, monarchies governed by the power of the supreme power are more successful than republics.

Furthermore, the need to properly control corrupt deceivers justifies the cruelty and betrayal of any prince.

In a political system governed by the supremacy of the elite, in order to consolidate power and political power, one must be born into power by fighting a certain fate; otherwise, one can seize power through the art of peaceful deception, the art of great heroism, and the art of great heroic struggle.

Since power is obtained through the support of cunning allies in addition to the complex intrigue, it is necessary to eliminate these collaborators who will not return from the conspiracy, in addition to signing a deal to maintain the position.

In eliminating enemies and rivals, a ruler must be completely ruthless in their destruction; otherwise, if rivals are not destroyed irrevocably, some individuals may be motivated by minor injuries and plot revenge.

As Machiavelli wrote in his book The Prince, “…the truth to be observed here is that men should be treated with care, if possible, if not destroyed irrevocably. For men are quick to avenge small wrongs, but are broken by great injuries; therefore a prince should consider before doing any harm to any man whether his action is free from the fear of retaliation.”

The kindness a prince shows to his subjects should be limited in a way that does not prevent him from exercising his full power and authority.

Of course, to create an image of goodness among the people, a leader may need to be seen as forgiving, loyal, steadfast, religious, and dedicated to humanity.

However, one often has to walk contrary to such graces of goodness.

Therefore, “…a nobleman is not required to be endowed with all the virtues that are considered good; but he must appear to be endowed with those that are considered good by the majority; in fact, if these qualities are his true qualities and he always acts based on good character, he will be harmed; he can be enjoyed by appearing, not by being.”

According to Machiavelli’s philosophy, a leader must above all else exhibit the qualities of ingenuity and flexibility.

Only a few intelligent individuals can understand his true nature. They will not have the courage to oppose, contradict, or compete with the mighty Supreme Being.

Therefore, the leader can maintain the balance of power and prevail.
“……People are generally judged by their eyes, not by their hands; because everyone has the opportunity to see, but few have the opportunity to touch; everyone thinks
“He sees what you are trying to appear to be. But only a few know your true identity. And these few will not have the courage to raise objections against the masses who are embraced by the majesty of the state.”

Machiavelli’s classic work , The Prince, explores in detail how princes should maintain their relationships with their subjects.
Accordingly, he advises the princes to use law and force to maintain their ties with the people.
Although force is the livelihood of animals, it is often necessary to use force because laws are ineffective.

In general, a prince should have two types of appearance.

To seize power and maintain it, the prince must be as cunning as a lion, as cunning as a fox, as thirsty for power.
But a lion cannot defend itself from a trap, nor can a fox save itself from a wolf.

However, since the two qualities are incompatible, the prince can use the cunning of a fox to save himself from a trap, and the strength of a lion to destroy a wolf.

Furthermore, the prince, like a fox, is perfect, even if he is a merciless savage, masking his true nature.
It may seem good and sincere.

A prince who deceives himself by making goodness his true nature will have his kingdom seized by his rivals.

“It is wiser to appear to be better than to be good in order to maintain power.”

I also say this: The system of this world is built on such evil and deceitful plots, deceit, revenge, and murder; and I propose that if you marry and live a divorced life without forming a relationship with this system,
